Putting you in control

We work with our clients to ensure that the products and literature we develop are as flexible and interactive as possible. This will ensure your advisers can order items personalised for them and can produce communications tailored and relevant to their clients, but there are some guidelines we would offer.

Compliance approval

Where we are asked to produce copy or supply copy off the shelf, we do try to ensure that we adhere to compliance best practice. However, due to the FSA rules we cannot accept compliance responsibility for final items. Within the Store we can build in a process that requires a compliance member to authorise all items before they are paid for and sent to print. We strongly recommend this is discussed and a clear process agreed in advance.

Flexibility of content

Where a document is set up which has a lot of freetext (i.e. blank areas into which you can type copy within the set up wizard) we recommend it is only available to those with a marketing or compliance responsibility. This reduces the compliance and format issues that arise when individuals do not have pre-approved copy to choose from. A master version can then be produced, which has pre-approved fixed content which each adviser can access to personalise with their own name and contact details. It is also possible to select text from a series of pre-written sections to suit different audiences.

Budgets and payment options

Each corporate client is likely to have a different budget and account limit in place separate from the Terms & Conditions with TOnMD. This can include the setting of a Store budget which will trigger invoices monthly. Access to this budget can be controlled within the user set up. For example, marketing and central users can use this facility, whilst non authorised users will default to credit card payment for their individual orders. This gives the firm control over central budgets but individual advisers can use the Store, vastly impoving the quality and relevance of the materials they produce.
